Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Reziq ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

Reziq is operated by Reziq ("Reziq", "we", "us", "our").

The Service includes all features, tools, and content available at reziq.app, reziq.vercel.app, and associated applications.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

By using Reziq, you represent that:

  • You meet this age requirement
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms

3. Account Terms

You agree that:

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must provide accurate information.
  • You may not use the Service for illegal or fraudulent purposes.
  • One person may not maintain multiple free accounts.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts violating these Terms.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Merchant of Record

Payments for paid subscriptions are processed by Paddle, who acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. This means:

  • Paddle handles payment processing
  • Paddle manages VAT/GST/sales tax collection
  • Paddle processes billing and invoices

When purchasing a paid plan, you agree to Paddle's checkout terms.

Free Plan

Reziq offers a free plan with limited features. We may modify or discontinue free features at any time.

Paid Plans (Pro & Lifetime)

Paid subscriptions unlock additional features.

Monthly / Yearly Plans

  • Automatically renew unless cancelled before renewal date.
  • Cancellation takes effect at end of billing cycle.

Lifetime Plan

  • One-time purchase.
  • Grants access to Pro features available at time of purchase.
  • "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the Service, not the lifetime of the user.

Pricing & Taxes

  • Prices are listed in USD unless stated otherwise.
  • Applicable VAT, GST, or sales taxes are handled by Paddle.
  • We may change pricing with 30 days' notice.

Refund Policy

All payments are processed by Paddle as our Merchant of Record. Refund requests are handled entirely by Paddle in accordance with Paddle's Consumer Terms.

If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. To exercise this right, contact Paddle directly through their support channels.

Beyond the 14-day cancellation period, refunds are provided at Paddle's sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.

To request a refund, please contact Paddle directly or email us at support@reziq.app and we will facilitate the process.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Generate fraudulent or deceptive resume content.
  • Impersonate others.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights.
  • Reverse engineer or disrupt the Service.
  • Use bots or scraping tools.
  • Violate applicable laws.

We may suspend accounts without notice for violations.

6. Your Content & Data

You retain ownership of your resumes, cover letters, and uploaded content.

  • You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely to provide the Service.
  • We do not claim ownership of your resumes.

7. AI Processing

Reziq uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions.

  • Resume content may be processed by third-party AI providers such as OpenAI.
  • We do not use your personal data to train proprietary AI models.
  • AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or unintended bias.
  • You are responsible for reviewing all content before submitting to employers.

Reziq is not a recruitment agency or employment service. We do not guarantee interviews, job offers, or employment outcomes.

8. Intellectual Property

All Service components — including code, design, branding, and templates — are owned by Reziq and protected by intellectual property laws.

Templates are licensed for personal job applications only. You may not redistribute, sell, or sublicense them.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and process data. By using the Service, you consent to such processing.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."

We make no warranties regarding:

  • Accuracy
  • Reliability
  • Availability
  • Employment outcomes

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Reziq shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reziq from any claims arising from:

  • Your misuse of the Service
  • Content you generate
  • Violation of these Terms

13. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms.

Upon termination:

  • Access ceases immediately.
  • Data may be deleted within 30 days unless legally required to retain it.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection laws.

15. Changes

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
